What is CPERC?

The Clean Power and Energy Research Consortium (CPERC) has six member universities: Louisiana State University (LSU – Main Campus and Ag Center), Nicholls State University (NSU), Southern University – Baton Rouge (SUBR), Tulane University (TU), the University of Louisiana – Lafayette (UL Lafayette), and the University of New Orleans (UNO).

CPERC members address critical scientific, engineering and economic issues associated with power and energy generation and related areas. Of specific interest are technologies that permit increased efficiency, greater reliability and more environmentally friendly pathways to energy and power. By combining the capabilities of its members, CPERC offers a cooperative and interdisciplinary approach to research aimed at improving existing technologies and developing new ones to the benefit of the State of Louisiana, the nation, and the world.
